Trazodone (Desyrel) help!

Hi all has anyone had Trazodone (desyrel) as the Dr has put me on it, but im unsure about it. If you have had these before how did you find them?

Hi Kitty,
I took Trazodone for anxiety when i was about your age. They do help. They are an anti depressant so lift your mood and stop you worrying so much. The only thing is they knock you out a bit. so its best to take them at night. Few vivid dreams but thats all. Hope they work for you Suz x

I tried them but have tried so many. They did help me but like Suz said they knocked me out so i didnt persevere with them. Reading on research sites they have good results and hope you perseve with them and see how it goes. Best of luck and thinking of you.

I tried them for 6 months and my dr kept increasing the dose and I found them awful in the end, I couldn't do anything, it was like being trapped in my mind. On the plus side they did help me sleep, though the hang-over was pretty bad. I've tried 7 different antidepressants and am now on effexor and have been for a year,

Good luck, keep going till you find the right one for you, don't settle with anything you're not happy with, the right one will be out there,
