Infectious Disease Clinic????

I got a letter through today acknowledging receipt of my referral to the Infectious Disease Clinic and to arrange an appointment with them!

What the hell??? What is that all about? And how comes it's the first I have heard of it? I didn't even know i had been referred there!! And why would I have been referred there?

Now I am seriously confused and baffled.

Give them a ring and ask why. Maybe your letter for neurology went to the wrong dept?

Maybe call your GP and ask? Sounds like it's gone to the wrong department, perhaps.

I didn't even know there was such a clinic lol!

Eggy, this could be in relation to the low B12 result...sometimes an infectious disease can contribute to this and it sounds like the docs are just covering all bases, but they could at least have let you know! Try not to let it shake you though because having an infectious disease isn't the same as having a Tropical life threatening' disease, its just a routine test to rule more stuff out.
