I know as a lot of you do that our anxiety and panic are hiegtened at "the time of the month". But i just want to know why? I know we are obviously more tense but what chemical is causing this. At the minute"because of the time" i am so tense and suffering again with the night panic where you nod of to sleep wke up feeling "blank" after say 10 mins adrenalin kicks in because i don't know what day etc then on come the old palpatations till i get it together . Why why why??????? Suz x

Progesterone is higher at this time too and can affect breathing rates and anxiety levels.

We have surges of hormones at this time and an unusual mix of hormones and these are what can increase our anxiety levels.

i suffer from this too! im fed up of it!
what can we take? there is pill? but i put on weight very bad with it!
what alternative? i did read some in holland and barrat mag, like milk thistle??

Evening primrose will help I believe

Milk thistle is more for the liver.
