Cold. blood in mucus

I have a cold, it started properly yesterday with a sore throat, it's not as sore now but i just sneezed, and then my throat filled with mucus.
I spat it out and there was a bit of blood in it.
is this normal?

I always worry wen i get a cold because it usually ends up being flu or bonchitus, something im petrified of as i always get really sick with the mucus build up.

Dont worry exactly the same happens to me with a cold
Its because our nasal passages become inflammed, it can also happen with a sore throat too.
So stop worrying and take cold n flu medicine and keep warm
