Finding Someone To Pinpoint What's Wrong With Me??

Hi,

What kind of professional is able to really tell you what you're suffering from, be it depression, emotional issues etc. I really want someone to tell me what exactly it is that's causing my depression etc and to try and pigeon hole me into a particular category.
I think this may mean I can seek specific help

I'm sorry to hear that you are struggling with these issues. Most GPs/Psychiatrists would be able to diagnose whether you are clinically depressed or not. The causes of your depression\emotional issues would be more difficult to uncover. This would involve you building up a relationship of trust with a therapist. You would uncover those things which are most painful to you. It is a two way process and you would be expected to work hard in order to uncover those things. No-body can 'pigeon hole' you. We are all unique individuals and hopefully some of the therapy that you undertake will be tailored to fit you. Nobody can tell you what the causes of your depression are only you know that.You would have to be in therapy for many years to begin to uncover what is wrong with you and that goes for me or anyone here.
