Hi there

I take propranolol (which is another type of beta blocker) and have done for about 10 years as I suffer from migraine. Beta blockers can certanly make you tired, as that's a common side effect of them, and they may possibly make you dizzy because they lower your blood pressure. I know they can also make your hands and feet cold as they have this effect on me all the time.

The best way to find out about other side effects is to go and have a chat with a pharmacist - they're trained in the way that drugs work and will be able to put your mind at rest about them.

the number of the pharmacy might be on the bottle / box.

beta blockers are known for making you feel weak or faint and dizzy.

maybe you could try a lower dose?

with my sedatives I only take half because a whole one puts me to sleep.

My mum takes 100mg of atenolol a day and it makes her dizzy, unhappy and just generally makes her feel unwell sometimes! She says you get used to the drug eventually though. x
