I wrote this poem when I was a child, I think I was about 14 or 15.

"THE BLUES"

Sometimes it rains from clouds so grey,
sitting, sleeping & struggling, I manage through the day.
The sun doesn't shine, the flowers don't bloom,
In the depth of despair, Im shut up in my room.

The tiger prowls, ready to strike,
tossing & turning, try as I might,
to free myself from the tortures of hell,
secrets unfold, nobody to tell.

My days are long, my nights are too,
someday the rain will stop and the sun shine through,
happier times may lie ahead,
memories & anguish whilst I lie in my bed.

Waiting & hoping, that maybe some day,
out in the jungle the animals won't prey.
When the sun comes out and shines on me,
hopefully my dreams will be a reality.

I wait for the sun whilst I stay in the rain,
trying not to let the grey clouds rule my pain.
I want to chase the rainbows whilst they are big & bold,
and some day I may find my pot of gold.

Hi Polly

I really liked that. I was moved by it.

Its a good way to be able to get out how you feel in a poem.

Take Care

I love the poem Polly

It gives a good indication of how grim things felt for you, but you had hope, as long as you have hope eh?

You just never know, that pot of gold may be there somewhere.
