This might be a stupid question so sorry if it seems that way but is anxiety/nervousness called that because your nerves become sensitive which causes the pins and needles, tickling feeling, pin prick sensation etc that some of us get?

Anxiety is an illness of the nerves. They have become senstitised. If you read Claire Weekes, Essential Help for your Nerves, it will explain it clearer in there.
