Plain & simple just fed up with everything.

Wish i could take my own advice i give out. Easier said than done though.

I guess ive been brought down by things on suicide on here silly of me really but thats just me.
About 4 years ago i took an overdose, luckly i saw sense & after a night in hospital & seeing the hospital shrink i was aloud to go home.

Anyway ive gone & got myself into a low & i will just have to clamber out of it.

Alex

If you sit on here all day you will get depressed - I know I do. You need time away to do stuff for you and sort yourself out and not concentrate on others.

You need to look after yourself and start to rebuild your life and not other peoples.

We can't do it for you - you have to want to and then do it.

You can if you really want to but it takes time and hard work.

I think its just alot of things are going on at present what with the wedding in August so i suppose im just abit rattled with things.

I can pick myself up no problem, just hate the low feeling when it comes in as i tend to get so sensative & teary. (A fault im currently working on)

Thanks for the replys

Alex,

It is knowing that just cos you read about it , it will not transfer onto you.

You are vulnerable right now and therefore open to having emotions swinging.

I know that I could never have coped with coming on here for ages each day when still vulnerable and would have had to cherrypick what I did read .

Hi Alex

Found your thread!!! Hey you - don't feel bad about posting when you feel down it can be soooo useful to let it out and you are always being so supportive to others here!

Meg is so right - cherry pick what you want to read when you want to... this site is here to help but has to be used carefully, when we are feeling vulnerable it is easy to over empathise and bring ourselves down...

It is nice to give back and support people but only as long as we are feeling strong ourselves... it's not a duty. There are days when I can be really positive and support others and days when I can barely read other people's posts!!!

You seem like such a lovely person - and got yourself back together so quickly!!

Hope you are having a nice evening!

Hi Alex,

So sorry I missed your post, I don't read through the whole boards very often at the moment.

Well done for picking yourself up and getting over it, you did well. Glad to hear that church went ok too.

Glad you are feeling better Alex.

I agree that you need to look after your own needs and don't feel you need to read and replyh to all posts. I think a lot of us go through a stage like that at some point but it's not helpful if it brings you down.

Look after yourself.

Glad you feel a little better now - perhaps just pace it a little and do as Meg suggests by just cherrypicking certain threads that will be of help to you.
