Just wondering if any of you work or are your symptoms so bad you are on sickness benefit.
I don't feel physicaly fit to work and as i am off to see my gp tomorrow what would i do to be able to recieve sickness benefits?

I think it is quite hard to get sickness benefit so you may have a long fight on your hands.

It is not easy to get Incapacity Benefit and it is likely you will need your doctor's support and possibly attend for a medical examination arranged by the DSS.

I think it depends on how the anxiety affects your daily life.
I have received both Incapacity Benefit and Disabiltily living Allowance for about 8 years but that is probably due to clinical depression aswell.
If you are getting treatment from psychiatric team then you should qualify.

Hi, I too get Incapacity benefit, am still employed (just about) but no longer entitled to Stat Sick Pay-hence Inc. Ben. Have been off for nearly 12 months.There is no question that I am unfit for work because I could not even walk through the doors.
I also have depression and see Psychiatrist. Maybe that helps.
