CT scan of kidneys

Just found out i've got to have CT scan of kidneys. I was fine until i read it involved being injected with some sort of dye - now i'm worried that i'll have some sort of allergic reaction........i'm always the same whenever i read side effects of tablets or procedures

You will be fine. I have had the dye loads of times with CT scans.

If you do react to it then let's fac it you will be in the best place and they will do something immediately but it is highly unlikely to be honest.

Hi, I had a CT scan this year and it's no worry, the most difficult thing for me was waiting with a full bladder, but you may not have to do that.
The dye makes your chest a little hot for 2 seconds, that's all. The reaction chance is less likely than me winning the lottery and as was said by Nic, you're in the right place if you do react, the staff are fully trained.
