View Full Version : hello everybody
Hi all just a note of introduction my name is brill.(short for Brother bill. br ill brill) it,s a nickname which you probly already have guessed.
I live in Brisbane australia I,m 36 (almost) I,m married with a almost 4 mth old boy oh and a green parrot called Stumpy.I also breed tropical fish and have over 20 big fishtanks.(much to my wifes discust lol.)
I used to work for the railways but I had a lot of bad events happen to me between 1996 and 2000 which left me with P.T.S.D[V]
I had my first panic attack on the platform at Roma street station in April of 2001 (life has never been the same since:()after that I found it hard to even go to work and spent long periods of time on work cover. In late 2002 I was told I had agoraphobia.Over the next few mts I stopped going out by myself, I only went out with my wife and for the larst 8 or so mts I have almost stopped going out altogether.I only go to my doctors or very very rare trips with sharon
but I always stay in the car with the moter running.
But on sunday 8/3 I took a big step and flu on a plane to my mums place:D. I am not ashamed to admit it was the hardest thing I,ve had to do in my whole life. But I did it and am so proud of myself.[8D]
so that is a very short version of my story thank you for reading it and God bless you all xxxxxx MARK :D:D:D:D
Hiya Mark! On your mum's system again???
Lovely to see you on the forum - and well done again for the flight - you should be proud of yourself - I am proud of you! You have obviously come a long way since your first attack and will certainly improve immensley carrying on as you are now - kep it up! We all know it is tough but all know that it helps to say "so what?" instead of "what if?" - an excellent re-frame that!
Keep posting and take care!

Wow Brill, what a huge step all at once. Fantastic achievement.
Just shows what you're capable of .
Do try to now build on that success by keeping going out each day and expand your daily boundaries.

Sandy,
Welcome back
You might want to start a thread in Introductions where you will get more response than in an established thread.
