anal pain

hi i have ibs and found it a bit difficult to go to the toilet today i did manage a bit tmi but i have a horrible pressure pain all day in my rectum it feels like there is something sharp wedged up there has anyone else had this and do you think its something to worry about i have had it before but not this bad :ohmy: x

I've had this before. Nothing to worry about and it'll go when you manage to go again. It's just the pressure.

Hi there

I get this sometimes - it's when some gas gets trapped in the anal passage and can't escape until you go to the loo. I often get it in the middle of the night and it helps if you change the position in which you are sitting or lying. Also try massaging your tummy, it sometimes helps.

yup i had this a few months back,,,drove me mad ,,kept running to the loo to try and go, which only makes it worse
