My Dr has added 5mg of Cipralex to my already 30mg of Citalopram. I have been on Citalopram for nearly 10 years. I am doubting my Dr's decision to be honest......Anyone else heard of this combo or if it is safe??

I think Cipralex is just the purer more expensive version of Citalopram so effectively is the same drug.

However as always ask your Doctor to clarify why they have done this or check with a Pharmacist

I'm pretty sure it's just a different formulation of the same active ingredient. It may well be simply that the Cipralex is available in 5mg and the Citalopram isn't?
