Sorry new to this and i keep getting questions buzzing round my head.

Even when i'm not having attacks i can feel my heart pumping so hard, is this normal and can you have PA without your heart going mad?

I seem to have a constant numb tigling feeling in my right arm and my nose seems to go cold as well is this normal with PD.

I only started having PA just before christmas and its getting me down already, how do some you guys cope after having them so long?

Sometimes i feel like i'm having a PA all day, is this normal?

What is CBT?

I have been refferd to the Phychologist (at my request) as i have had a lot of bereavement over the last 3 1/2 years so i do understand that it could be depression but i hate the fact the docs just fobb you off with that and dont look in to the med side as well. As i said in my other post (L-Theanine) i have had a thyroid test done to see if it could be that as i have lost alot of weight as well over the last 3 months.

Sorry, babbling on.

Can anyone help with above Q's

Thanks Liz

EVERYTHING YOU ASK IS NORMAL,
I GET PANIC WITHOUT PALPS AND I GET PANIC WITH PALPS.
WHEN I WAS NEW TO HAVING PANICS I HAD SO MANY OF THEM ......IT SEEMED ALL DAY LONG AND IT WAS EXHAUSTING.
NOW DAYS I GET THEM STILL BUT THEY ARE LOOSING THEIR POWER BECAUSE BASICALLY IM GETTING BORED OF THEM, IVE LEARNT OVER THE 4 YEARS THAT IM SCARED OF SOMETHING THAT NEVER DOES WHAT I FEAR IT MAY DO - MAKE ME PASS OUT!

THE EARLY DAYS ARE THE WORST , WHEN YOU GET A PANIC ASK IT....
COME ON AND DO THE WORST YOU CAN DO.......ACTUALLY WANT IT TO GET REALLY BAD AND YOU WILL FIND IT WILL NOT HAPPEN -
WHY? BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO BE AFRAID TO MAKE IT COME.......
IF YOU FEAR THE FEAR YOU WILL GET PANIC!

CBT , IS A THERAPY THAT LOOKS AT YOUR THOUGHT PATTERNS AND HELPS YOU RECOGNISE NEGATIVE THOUGHT PROCESSES.
I DO NOT KNOW MUCH ABOUT IT BECAUSE I HAVE ONLY HAD ONE APPOINTMENT BUT OTHERS ON HERE MAY GIVE YOU MORE INFO.

HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER SOON AND REMEMBER YOU ARE CERTAINLY NOT ALONE.

Just like Mirry I can get these with and without panic too.

*Even when i'm not having attacks i can feel my heart pumping so hard, is this normal and can you have PA without your heart going mad?*

Yes. Probably underlying level of anxiety building up

Tingling and cold nose - both common too

I lost 2 stone - wish I'd managed to keep it off.

For CBT explanation- read the homepages - therapy one
