Hello

Well, i thought that i would sign up to a forum as i suffer from Agoraphobia, i think that it is ruining my life to be honest, i rely on my twin sister for college with out her i wouldnt be able to go to college. I know that it has got me very down in the past few months, i have to think about what i want to do next year for college, i cant do the same course has my sister, so im pretty stuffed really. Im 17 years (nearly 18 in Sep) i live with my Aunt and Uncle 2 cousins and my twin sister. Um i i dont really know what else to write, apart from i hope that i can talk to some one who is going threw the same thing as me. Or evan better can give me advice.

Hi Katrina,

Welcome to the forum I’m sure you will find lots of support and friends on here who will be able to relate to you and help you through the bad days. It is great that you have your twins sister to support you, you are ever so lucky in that sense.

Do you feel that you can talk to her and draw on her for support when you are at your lowest that would be good. The thing about your condition it is possible to control it so just tell yourself that next year you will be able to do what you like because you will have it under control.

Hope things settle down and best of luck.

Robert

Thank you every one for your comments :D

I think that my twin sister could read upon more stuff as we can argue quite a bit about me, i went to counsilling but it interfred with my time table so i had to stop going, then i had an assesment from a cumminty nurse phyischritsic (if i spelt that right) and waiting to hear from that, i feel bad though has a didnt really point out stuff that i should have about my self so do you think it will affect the help i get?

I dont want to say any thing to my Aunt as i think she will be angry with me( she sat with me), so what shall i do?

I got told we have 8 weeks left, so i am a bit panicy about it :(:(

You will be hun

Wait and see what they advise you and whilst that is happening think about what you can achieve on your own. You will surprise yourself and whatever you decide we are all here to help you through it. The first step is the hardest , trust me. You go for what feels right for you and see how well you get on.

Hello Katrina

Are there any councellors at college, cos when I started college, I was having major panic attacks and tried to get out of going anyway I could and then decided to see a councellor at college which got me through my time there.

Be nice to chat

Maxine

Yea, i saw a counseller, unfortionaly it was on a bust day so i missed alot of sessions, and i dont think i was getting anywhere, i have some thing else lined up though for out of college and not on a busy day which is all right.
I had a well bad panic on Monday, i hate them it wrecks the whole day for me then im sooo tired like i am now.
