I have been anxious before I had this bug but I'm literally shaking, buzzing with nerves. I said a few times I'm limited on anti depressants due to having a manic episode a few years back.

So should I go back to the doctor and ask for Diazepam? I was on it in May and it relaxed me had it for three weeks but maybe it would relax me now?

I have rescue remedy but does that have much effect? Only used it once. the diazepam is addictive though..but if I'm buzzing what else can I do...

Hey Phil

I think the best thing you can do is to book an appointment with you Doctor. Together you can then go through the options and decide what will be best for you.

I hope you feel better soon.

I haven't tried rescue remedy but i find kalms to be quite good.

Probably not being able to eat properly is making you feel worse. Maybe you're getting low on vitamins. I had a anti-stress supplement for a while that had loads of vitamin b and that helped me quite a bit after a few days - I'll try to remember what it was.

I've not tried Kalms it helps you sleep right? Not been over the door being ill either so can't exercise. I'll be interested to hear what vitamins are good. I can maybe pick up some in my local health food shop?

Found it quite quick actually:

http://www.lifepluspharmacy.com/productinfo/Blackmores_Executive_B_Stress_(28_Capsules)?curren cy=GBP&aid=GBUK
not sure if that's the best place to get them from (it was just the first link and shows what the bottle looks like) probably good idea to look in local health food shop for this or similar. I currently take vitamin B complex and extra B6

Kalms i take if i'm stressed in the day - to help me sleep i take valerian - http://www.healthspan.co.uk/sleep-mood/valerian/productdetail-p400-c114.aspx

If you can find a good independent pharmacy (ie not boots or a supermarket one) you could ask them what they recommend for anxiety, there was a great one where i used to live who was very helpful but i haven't found anyone who knows quite so much since i moved...

Thanks I'll look into Vitamin B as I have a local health food store. I assume it's okay to take these with beta blockers like propranolol?

As far as i'm aware there are no problems with taking them together (and I have done so myself) - you may want to check with a pharmacist or your doctor.

You can check for drugs that shouldn't be taken together here: http://www.drugs.com/drug_interactions.php
