Hi Kitty,

I get the same and am currently having breathing training from the hospital from a breathing physio. It takes alot of time and effort but it can help.

Self help for hyperventilation by Dinah Bradley is a great book if you haven't read it.

Also look at this link:

Good luck,

hi kitty
I suffer from habitual chronic hyperventilation syndrome, I was sure I had something wrong with my lungs until I had all the tests possible, I am reassured that it is just hyperventilation and that with time I will get better. Having suffered for over 20 years I know it's going to take a little time, I have had breathing retraining for 4 months and it has helped, also I would definitely recommend you get the Dinah Bradley book, the case studies in the book are excellent and really put your mind at ease.
