Heart pounding upon waking up.

This has been happening to me as long as I can remember, but I have just now started to worry about it. Is it normal? I don't dare to google it because google only makes things worse :weep:

When you say pounding, exactly how does it feel like? A skipped beat? Hard beats? Is your heart rate fast when it happens?

Hard beats, not too fast but faster than normal. It also happens when i lay down to sleep sometimes.
