I am 28 years old and have suffered from this problem ever since I was first in a sexual situation with a girl.
I have tried to ignore it hoping it would pass but it has not.
I hoped I would find somebody I could work through it with but this is unlikely to happen and not something I can rely on.
I have some pills for helping stimulation but these are expensive and I can't rely on then.
can anybody please give me some advise? I need to overcome this.

Although embarrassing, it's worth checking in with your GP. ED can have a physical or psychological root and you need to know which it is before anything else.

Anti anxiety meds can have an effect too.

If you're on any medications for anxiety/depression, these can have have all sorts of odd effects......... some good and some bad!!.... are you on anything at the moment?

It's a psychological thing as I've never had any trouble when it comes to masterbation.
I have had counciling before and cognitive behavioral therapy, CBT is good but it didn't help me with this problem.
I plan to see a gp again but my confidence in doctors is not so great as none of the docs I've seen in the past have been much help.
Some even seem dismissive and make it difficult to go to with problems

Sounds like you need a bit of specialist counselling.. I'm sure you're not the only person who has these concerns / issues.

Maybe try Relate- I know they do offer help on sexual matters as well as just relationship counselling.

I'm willing to try anything that could help, this has been going on far too long.
Thanks to you both for your time.

Hiya,

As above give your doctors a go. I know it can be difficult, I also have issues with GPs....specifically around trust. However, I have discovered Patient Support Officers! Essentially every surgery one (some share), they're the person you go do if you don't feel you're being supported. Alternatively just tell your GP you're not happy with the diagnosis and would like a second opinion; ask them to arrange it.

Many folk are worried about the way their doctors act/behave; yes they may react negatively. However, you're entitled to a service and you should push to receive it!

Thanks Chris, it is very difficult.
It's a subject that makes me feel extremely vulnerable.
Cheers for the advice Stav, I will look into all the above advise. This will not beat me.
