Hi, I'm new to this website although I have suffered with anxiety for years. I have recently been prescribed Sertraline 50mg but five days into the meds I woke up three hours after taking the tablet withheart palpitations, feeling dizzy but also the most distressing feeling that my body was on fire. My skin wasn't hot to touch but I still had to stand half naked at an open window in the middle of winter just to try cool down. It was so distressing. The feeling did subside after about half an hour and I don't know if that particular burning sensation is from possible side effects or if waking up feeling dizzy sparked a panic attack that made me feel that way although I've never had a panic attack quite like that. After speaking to my doctor she told me to stop for a couple of days and restart the meds at 25mg and slowly build up. Has anyone experienced those burning and tingling sensations on Sertraline.
