Gerd cough!

Does anyone know anything about GERD and the cough that can develop through this disease? I have recently been diagnosed with GERD after 12 weeks of chronic coughing. I'm not convinced though and just wondered if anyone else has suffered with this. Thankyou :)

Yes - I have GERD and I have the cough - and bloody annoying it is too!!.
My specialist explained that it is the acid that splashes the back of the throat which makes us cough. I have just increased my omeprozol, taking it morning and evening as I found I was coughing badly when I lay down at night. It has improved a little.
