pregnancy and meds

hi guys just wondering if any one is takin prozac whilst pregnant i was takin but stopped for 2 weeks tonight i had to start them again cos anx was causing me to much stress are the really safe to take has anyone ever had problems with pregnancy whilst on them

My GP was happy to prescribe them for me - she said if I could hold out until the second trimester it would be good, but if not then she would give them to me sooner. I decided not to take them in the end, but only because I had terrible morning sickness and I read they cause nausea. They are one of the safest drugs to take, and the damage caused by you being depressed or anxious in terms of blood pressure, risk of pre-eclamsia etc. is just as concerning, so if I thought I needed them I would definitely take them. And I wouldn't worry or feel guilty, either - keeping yourself on track is the best thing you can do for your baby.
