lansoprazole tell me about it ?

I have just been given these by my GP due to acid reflux are there any side affects how long can you take them for i have been given 6 weeks worth.

I have been on them for months and months, i never had any side affects at all. really easy to take.
i have been taken off them now and not on anything at the moment.

I have had endoscopy and barium swallow, suffer servere acid reflux and weak esphorgus muscle....sorry for spelling
