Been on these tablets nearly 3 weeks now how long do they take to improve your mood? On 30mg

Hi Anx mum,

When I started on mirtazipine I was only on 15mg and it took around 6 weeks until I noticed any difference in mood....and it was around this time I went up to 30mg.

My mums is on these bev, they have really helped her, didn't take that long for them work although everyones different. Hang in there :) xx

I take 45mg mirtazapine at night and I have found it very helpful in alleviating my low mood. I'm with Jo on this one as it can take up to six weeks before you feel any benefit from them. 30mg is the therapeutic dose so hopefully they should start to kick in very soon. Try starting a mood diary and see if there is any difference to your mood week by week? Take care EJ.
