Just Started

I have just started taking citalopram 20mg 7 days ago and as yet not really experiencing any effects. I was taking trazadone to help with slepp but due to my shifts it didn't really suit. I have a terrible problem with sleep as well as low mood as a result of many problems but my main concern is that I am reading a lot of people are finding they over sleep, my work means my shifts change a lot and i hoped taking it would help. Also I'm taking mine in the morning and wondered if anyone else finds this easier to prevent over sleepin.
Sorry did go on a bit there.
Only some side effects so far like upset stomach but no real effects of the meds yet

hi, I think meds can affect people differently. If your doc knew you were having probs with sleep and work shifts I don't think he'd prescribe something that would make you worse. To be honest when I was on mixed shifts I had 2 alarms! On the 'quick change over' I was a zombie. Good luck with your new meds and shift work:)x
