Hi, I went to the doctors today to get my blood test results and it appears that I have a low white blood cell count. The doctor I saw is not my usual doctor and would like to run the results past my actual doctor and then get back in touch with me.

I am really worried that there could be something seriously wrong with me as something doesn't feel right in my body, like an inbalance which is not anxiety related.

Does low white blood cell count indicate anything bad?

My thyroid is also slightly under active, what does that mean?

Thanks all

Matt

no it dosent mean something bad. your whites cell count could be low if you have had a virus or cold ,,it can go back up again in no time please dont worry

It has been low for the past year and a half though!

I train intensively in the gym 5 - 6 times per week and I haven't had a week off the gym in over 6 years!

Could over training and putting stress on the body reduce your white cell count?

I know that overtraining at the gym can surpress the immune system. Does anyone know if this means my white blood cell count will drop if my immune system reduces?
