hi i am very anxoius here as i went for a dexa scan as when i was in hospital for urine infection i had a ct scan an two bones in my spine lit up thatswhy i went for the scan is it anything to worry about help/:weep:

This measures the amount of calcium in your bones and is often used when investigating the possibility of Osteoporosis.

Not sure when you had it done but would imagine that if it was a while ago you would have been informed if there was a problem.

Hi, I guess the results will be passed on to your GP but it may take a little while longer.

Why not give the surgery a call on Monday and ask when they would expect to have the results back?

i had a head to toe one ? and im scared they find anything as i banged my head 8 weeks ago and that is why i have anxiety ? can hey tell anything else from the scan apart from bone density ?:lac:

This is specifically a test for Osteoporosis, not for anything else.

Why not give your surgery a call or pay the GP a visit and he can explain about it?
