Hi,
I know its only a small success but today i managed to go round the asda with my partner and do a weeks shoppping ( i even managed to wait in the queue and pack the shopping).
I haven't been in the asda for about a year and its always been a struggle for me so i feel i have done well.
I had a few moments where i felt i might panic but i didn't i was ok.
The thing that i did to cope was positive rational challenge to my thoughts and it really does work. My cpn has given me a little book and everytime i have an anxious though i have to write it down and then challenge it. This has helped me loads so far, not just with getting out but with my anxiety in general and i would highly recommend it to anyone.
Its amazing just how many thoughts i have during the day that provoke my anxiety. I bet we all do the same without realising.
