Needing a hug

As some of you already know my dear Mum died on this day 23rd January 1988 twenty three years ago of MND. She was sixty one. She was a lovely lady and an inspriation to me a teacher and mother to my sister and me. I wanted to be remembered in your prayers tonight. We had lunch with Dad today but he seems oblivious to the fact that it would have been her anniversary tonight. EJ.

Key dates like that are always emotional – doesn’t matter if it’s 1 year or 23.

I wonder... was Dad really oblivious to it? Perhaps he didn’t want to show his emotions, or maybe everyone else were hiding theirs and he didn’t want to spoil the lunch.

I hope there’s some little thing you can do to fondly remember Mum tomorrow.
