Hi, I saw my GP today about the pressure feeling in my ears and head, which of course I put down to a tumour. He made me do some tests where I clapped my hands back to front, then made me touch my nose and his nose and some other wierd stuff - would he have known from that if I had the signs of a tumour?? He said one of my ears looks a bit inflamed and gave me some hydrocortisone eardrops. My aching arms and general feeling of exhaustion he said is to do with anxiety.

Good news about the blood count I had last month - he said with thalessemia, my haemotocrit is supposed to be low and my iron supposed to be normal!! I thought I was a freak because of that lol. But can anyone let me know what all the wierd hand clapping tests were for?

Thanks, x

Sounds like he was checking your balance with the nose thing, and hearing with the clapping to see if there was any inflammation with affects hearing if the inner ear swells. More often than not ear infections affect our balance. Wish I knew why!!
