Hi. I am really struggling tonight. Have been on here a lot lately and feel like i am saying the same old thing, but am finding it hard. So tired and can't sleep due to chest and arm pain, back pain, feel like throat closing up, and of course hugely panicking. Getting the horrible 'panic' rushes and chills. Just want to sleep but really not doing well. Know i will wake up in morn and think why did i worry so much, but still struggling with my anxiety and symptoms re heart :-( has anyone else really struggled with this and what treatment or medication has helped? thank u.

I have yes and the thing that helped me most was betablockers and an execise regime with a trainer who the GP referred me to who specialises in helping people with illness or anxiety.

hi bee10,

i just read your comment about your anxiety being worse at night, i have a panic disorder and i find my anxiety is always worse at night, my counsellor says its called 'residual anxiety' and that its just what anxiety is left over from the day that we havent 'noticed' or used up.

Thank u. It definitely gets worse as day progresses... Starting CBT next week, praying it will help!
