so tell me about gaba

been told by naturapath to take gaba.... she says it will be as effective as some anti- anxirty drugs with no side effects etc. anyone have any experience with this? can you take gaba with ativan? i take 1/2 milligram of ativan daily ( so i can function in the mornings and get to work) Afraid to give up one for the other especially if gaba does nothing for me! Anyone know about this please! ( i am very afraid to change as the ativan is keeping me half way sane... but also afraid of getting addicted to it)

GABA supplments do not readily cross the blood-brain barrier, therefore most of it gets flushed out by the liver making this a waste of good money imo. wouldnt swap ativan for anything else as theres no substitute for a benzo except another benzo.
