hi all
just wandered if anyone on here knows what a psychological wellbeing practitioner is as ive been referred to see one and havent a clue what one is

They are part of the IAPT program (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies), they usually come from a variety of backgrounds (counsellors, nurses, OT's, Grad mental health workers, Psychology graduates, etc), they have to then qualify as a PWP (Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner) through a Uni course.

The generally use a CBT-based approach and usually offer Supported Self-Help or sometimes groupwork, mainly time-limited and brief.
