Defrosting chicken in the microwave??... Emetophobic!

Hi,

Just a quick question.. Can u defrost chicken in a microwave??
Its only one chicken breast... my bf forgot to tae it out the freezer before so now hes defrosting it in the microwave.. Which he says is absolutly fine but im now terrified im going to get ill from it!!

Hes cooking for me so i cant jus not eat it, bt at the same time im so scared incase it makes me sick?? Im gona be worrying now for the nxt 24hrs!

Will it be ok? Has anyone else defrosted it in a microwave??

Please, any reassurance.. Im so scared xx

I have defrosted chicken breasts in the microwave for years and I am emetophobic as well.

The most important thing is making sure it is cooked properly before eating it.

Thank you so much - feel better about it now! I have no clue about cooking lol so i really didnt know... My bf says its fine though an i guess i should trust him but my phobia takes over!

I live on my own so end up freezing everything into one person portions and then I defrost it before I cook it!!

There is not a chance I would do something that would make me sick xx
