Hi Forrest, I ended up at hospital because of the numbness. I couldn't even hold my head up, it was drooping to one side. I really felt like I'd had a stroke. It is just anxiety & the more you worry about it the worse its gonna get. Believe me, anxiety can hit you when you're asleep. I doubt there is a cure for it, its just part & parcel of anxiety & a really common symptom. If our body goes into shock because we get worked up then its bound to make us feel nauseous & that's probably why your bowels are messed up because you're not eating properly. If you struggle eating, try bananas or build up drinks so at least your getting some nutrients & proteins.

I know its easier said than done, but try not to worry too much, it'll only make your symptoms feel worse. Try & change your thoughts immediately you get some feeling that something is wrong. Analyse it & be realistic with what it could be i.e. anxiety & not some life threatening disease.

Good luck.

Forrest,

I have experienced numbness too, and it is a very common anxiety symptom. As a regular symptom, I've felt it in my hands soon after waking, but have also had it at odd times in such strange places as just above my left knee and below my mouth. But the regular numbness has gone now after three months, for no apparent reason. I just tremble more now instead, and so the anxiety just switches paths.

Anxiety has a lot to do with our sub-concious or inner mind, and so that is why so many of us feel so bad in the morning, or are woken up at night because of it.

Mr Anxiety never sleeps it seems, he's always lurking, but that doesn't mean to say that he will one day go away for good.

Take Care,

Ray
