Can't Kick Urge to Swallow

So I know this is anxiety related, I've had it before. I have an ENT appointment Monday, but actually that's for a plugged/ringing ear.

Anyway for whatever reason I've developed this urge to frequently swallow. Its nerves about the appointment....

Has anyone dealt with this swallowing urge before? If so, what have you don't to kick it (other than managing to get your mind off it). My throat is killing and I can't stop... its crazy.

I get swallowing problems all the time yes.

There is no easy cure for it.

Drinking cold water will help

One of those microwavable neck warmer things helps me

Sucking mints

Make sure you keep your chin nearer the chest to ease the tension in the throat
