please help

im 47 and have gone through the menopause. ive had a little bit of bleeding and gp wants me to have a test where they look at the lining of the womb. she said its like a smear but i find smears really painful as all my muscles go into spasm.
im terrified, please help ..

My gp wanted me to have a pelvic floor examination when I was having problems but I didn't go and eventually these problems sorted themselves out. The menopause is actually when you've gone so long WITHOUT bleeding.. not sure if that's one or two years. x
