OMG! been for my pelvic examination [Archive]

had to go for a pelvic examination this morning due to tenderness on left side! the GP alos did a swab it was so painful and i am 51 had smears all my life that have never bothered me,but it was painful :ohmy:
Anyway my cervex is swollen and inflamed and there was a discharge ! so i have to wait for the swab to come back on friday to see what action to take,if nothing is found then i will have to have a scan.

Oh the joys of been a woman :winks:

Did the doc. not give you an indication of likely cause - sounds like it could be cervical inflammation - a common problem we ladies can suffer from - it gives pain and tenderness, you get a discharge and a swollen cervix.

It can usually be cleared up with anti-fungal creams and antibiotics.
