White blood cells in urine

Follow up to urge to wee all the time. Went the Drs today and she tested my urine and said there were white blood cells present but no blood. Said shes treating me for suspected UTI and gave me anti bs but Ive got to do another sample tomorrow for it to be sent off and tested. She said if symptoms persist or sample is negative will have to go for further tests :huh: So got me really worried now !! Looking up white blood cells and its showing up all kinds of things I could have. Only symptom I have is urge to wee and no pain! Just weird as I usually have burning with UTI too!
Is white blood cells usual with infection?

Yes, it's common. You could have any combination: white cells, cloudy urine, smelly urine, burning, frequency and blood in the urine. The test will show what type of bacteria it is, if any. Try not to worry too much.

Things that can help: drink lots of water, wear only cotton underwear (or cotton only gusset!), use unperfumed soap and shower gel in that area, avoid getting dehydrated and wipe front to back.

Hope this helps and you feel better soon. Anxiety can also cause frequency.

Thanks very much was given a strong course of anti b's and I've only taken 3 and the pressure is going away so happy :) Can't believe I leftit 3 weeks to go get sorted thou. Thank you xx
