Unfortunately Yvonne has a pulmonary embolism (clot in the lung) and she is undergoing treatment for this. This would explain her persistent chest/breathing problems.

Not sure how long she will be kept in hospital but will let you all know how she's doing.



We all wish you a speedy recovery Yvonne.


EDIT: She is being given warfarin and also seeing a psychiatrist for her mood.

sorry to hear your not well yvonne, the warfarin will sort it out for you, i had 2 blood clots in december, warfaring gets rid of them very quickly wishing you a speedy recovery xxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Everyone and Mel,

thank you for all your hugs and kind words, very much appreciated. thank you Mel for starting this hugs pages, very much appreciated, thanks.

I came off the oxygen this morning completely, my inr is at the required level, so I was allowed to come home, still a little breathless and I will be taking it easy over the next few days, going to go out and take it slowly. because today is the furthest I have walked.

while in hospital, I met someone who has the same problem as me, and she explained a lot of it. and told me that I can get different support. going to look into it.

thank you all again. I missed everyone on here, and the food was crap. though I had a laugh with the other patients.
