fear of forgetting? very scary :(

Can anyone tell me if there is a phobia of forgetting. I dont think i have depersonalization/derealisation its more of a fear. When i get anxious i startworrying that i am forgetting those who i love, and scared i am forgetting them and my feelings towards them. This is a new sensation for me which started after i moved away from home for the first time.

Is your fear based on simple fact? Can you recall a situation where you have forgotton your loved ones or your feelings towards them? I would anticpate that your answer would be no? Your mind is playing tricks. Our fears are sometiimes irrational but fortuately therapy will go some way to help this. Medication can also affect memory and because of my age/lithium therapy I have trouble recalling names etc they usually appear in about an hour or so. EJ.
