Hi guys, long time no post!

had no internet for a few weeks and i seem to have been doing better lately on and off, new man in my life and so have a new circle of friends.. kinda kept me busy!
But last week i had a nasty case of ibs, which is controlled normally.. but i was ill all week. Made me feel really low and extra panicky.
Its all then a vicious circle.. i dont eat much cos i have an upset tummy, then i get acid which hurts, so i get upset tummy and need to eat to help, then it starts off again cos ive eaten!!
This is why i have panic attacks.. the only thing im anxious about and get panic for is because i might get bad ibs or be sick when im not at home.
emetaphobia kicked in when i was 15 ( now 22) and over the years its just progressed with the stress of that to give me ibs, and now i only panic about getting ill.
im a confident happy and outgoing person, until i feel a twinge in my tummy, or have been in contact with a sick person.. then i go to pot and fall apart!
what can i do to solve my fear of ibs trouble and sickness, so i can be normal?! anyone else had help for this, or know of anyone who had overcome emetaphobia??

Hi bubblestar

Hi

thanks for the links, helped to read other peoples stories

i saw a clinical pyshcologist and had some cbt with her but it wasnt any good and not intense enough to do anything for me.
appointments were 3wks apart and id just go in and tell her what id been doing and shes said not alot and that would be it!
i really need to get some proper help thats gonna help, maybe the exposure therapy.
anyone tried TFT ?? Thought Field Therapy?? i saw it on the paul mckenna show where he helped an agrophobic lady.
