Does Zoloft help with intrusive/scary thoughts?

I'm having trouble with a scary thought that won't go away. Have any of you taking Zoloft had a problem with this and did taking Zoloft help take the thought away?

It will help take away those thoughts...you may think of them, but they won't scare you like they do now! Good luck and give it time to work!

I totally agree with Patty.
I am on day 17 and I am thinking so much more clear. All those horrible thoughts I had I can't be bothered to think of them.
I used to imagine every member of my family dying and plan there funerals and go through all the emotions! It became a bit of a habit after my Dad dies suddenly. I havn't even thought about it now for 2 days and if I do it doesn't las long and I think of something else!
