Maybe it's my subconcious worrying, but I'm still getting the left tingly/throbbing tension on left temple and a tight feeling across my forehead. I've had it over a week now, sometimes it's worse that others. I try so hard to forget about my symptoms, like the dizzy spells and the eye floaters (had for 4 weeks)..but they never let up even when I try so hard. I'm starting to worry I have a tumor now, I can't think of what else it could be. I can't understand how anxiety (if it is that), could last so long..

Sorry to keep going on, I just don't know where else to turn..It's really stressing me out that i'm not getting any better.

hello:)

can only try to reassure you that it is yes anxiety and yes it can last a long time
with anxiety .... .if we tense our neck and shoulder muscles up as we do ......without even knowing it ............it refers pain up to our head and nerve pathways .
I had similar sort of pain last year and went to doc who reassured me .
bit like if we injure a muscle playing sport ...........it doesnt go away for a while .
please dont worry .
brain tumours have very different presentations to this . try a warmed heat pad on your neck. :hugs:

OMG I had the worst tension headaches when I was at the height of my anxiety. I wouldn't even feel anxious, or so I thought but everytime I got a headache I got anxious and the vicious circle began... I had them so bad that I could barely open my eyes when I went out as the sunlight was just too much. My head would throb and I felt like someone was pushing a weight on my head. And don't get me started on the dizziness which I still get. At one point I was dizzy constantly, I either felt like I was on a boat or I'd get dizzy spells that would almost knock me back. You don't have a tumor, you'd have such severe symptoms if you did. You'll be fine. Keep trying your best to forget about them and do what you can to relax. Hope you feel better soon. x

Thanks all, I'm sorry for constantly seeking reassurance. It's really nice of you to write back, I'm trying hard not to worry. It helps a great deal when I hear from people who have had similar symptoms and it's turned out to be nothing major. Yeah I have the constant dizzy feeling..well more light headed, hope it goes soon. Thanks again both..I am trying so hard to get on in life, its so easy to pull the covers over and go back to bed!

Hi,

Last October I had a tension headache that lasted nearly a month and I ended up with an over-night stay in hospital. My anxiety got so bad that I took myself off to A&E. They did a CT scan (which was fine), bloods and made me stay in so I could see the specialist in the morning. He assured me it was a tension headache and within a couple of days of going home the headache had gone and touch wood I've never had one that bad again!

For me the anxiety made the headache so much worse, I was 100% sure I had a brain tumour but it was just anxiety!! I'm sure you're fine hun, have you tried those 4head sticks? I used to use those and the things you stick on your forehead, both worked quite well for me.

K xx

Thanks, those 4head sticks are pretty good actually! I've been trying it out over the weekend. I'm also on Amitriptyline from the doc, problem is it's making me soooooo tired.

Hi i was just reading this forum and can definitely relate to what your going through, my head is in soo much pain at the moment mainly just in my forehead, feels so heavy almost as if it was a bit numb, i went to my doctor first about three weeks ago and she said i most likely have a tension headache and she gave me some pills to take which did help abit but not completely, i then went back to my doctor as i wasn't sleeping it always seems to get worse at night, and she was a bit worried so i had to go get a cat scan i went for my cat scan and they said there wasn't a bleed or anything but i have a brain and that it looks normal, pretty much that was it they didn't give me anything, the next two days after that i felt alot better and can sleep but now all of a sudden it hurts again, i keep thinking they've missed something or a have a tumor, i just kind of don`t know what to do and i feel like all i'm doing lately is complaining.

In the past i have had tension headaches that have lasted for weeks, they do go in the end & like you i was worried that they were something else, but they did go and it was tension !
I find the headache stick very good as you can just keep using them as much as you want. there is one you can get with menthol which i find very relaxing x

I am sooooooooo glad this exists. I have the same problems as you, carlos I feel as if I have the thing that I can barely say without going in to panic. This Thread helped me a lot.
I know this will be short lived. but I will keep trying headaches been going on for the past couple of days. That may not seem like a long time but for someone who lives or try to with health anxiety is weeks. I am only 15. Little threads like this make my day, too see other people with the same problems to a higher factor(Not meaning anything bad), Thanks and I hope you get better! I am registered for the childrens health clinic hopefully that helps. Thanks.

Yes I've had them for weeks. In fact I have one right now. I can add chronic headaches to my barge of anxiety symptoms. It could be sinus related as well. A few times mine were.

Yes, definitely what I had. Mine sometimes last for 3 days, 3 hours or a week. You don't have to be doing anything stressful or be anxious. Its a build-up caused by the muscles in the neck and shoulders. Massage Therapy is very good for this. Green Tea relaxes you and wearing sunglasses help if you are outside. Don't let the sun get to the top of head, this makes them worse. I have asked 4 different Doctors about these headaches and they all confirmed their were tension head-aches.

Wow, I'm so glad I found this thread - I know it's old.

I've been panicking myself; feeling so anxious all of a sudden (which I sometimes get anyway), head racing that something else MUST be wrong; driving myself into a frenzy.

When I go out of the house I've been having really weird spells of sort of being spaced out or getting really flustered when I normally don't - and the pain sometimes has been awful.

There's a muscle in my neck I can often massage for a bit of relief but it's been a week and I was definitely worried.

Glad I share exactly the same symptoms with people that have had the same and can assure it will go away!

Hi all not been on here for a long time!
I started having headaches 2 weeks ago was originally a migraine from lack of sleep but has been around ever since. Se days needing medication some days not. The last 5 days or so it's really started messing with my anxiety convinced it must be a tumor symptoms are

Headaches pressure throbbing worse whenover standing bend. Funny feeling in my ears like they need to pop bit whooshy in sound. Pulsating in head and sometimes in eyed too. Back of neck n head feel really heavy like I need to turn my head all the way round. Spoke to my Dr n asked if was a tumor he replied it's highly unlikely but won't dismiss it n wants to see me in a month. In addition I have polycistic overies and just had a 5 week 3 day period which had now stoppedal via med.
34 with 3 kids have been working 2 jobs but left my last job Thursday 25th and now going on to work full time

Any help or advice or anyone suffering the same would need appreciated
