Breathlessness & racing heart??

A quick question if I may? I've been trying to write down the separate things that happen when I have a panic attack, and two of the main condendors are a racing heart and breathlessness/hyperventilating. Do these two things always happen together or can you get one on their own. Ie does a racing heart cause breathlessness or could I just have the racing heart on it's own?

I've been to a doc so I know there is nothing wrong with my heart.

you can get them separatly, some people experience both together, some separately, hope this helps :) xx

Thank you, that's really helpful, at least I know now that I can deal with the racing heart if I can try and control my breathing - if that makes sense :)
