Hi Katy, sorry you're having a tough time at the moment. If you were seriously ill your doctor would know - its just anxiety. I think it makes us obsess about things and the more we worry and think about it the worse it gets. I went through a stage where I was convinced my heart was all wrong and couldn't stop checking my pulse all the time every day for about a month - the more I checked the more convinced i was that things weren't right, i guess its sort of the same as you checking for lumps that aren't going to be there. I managed to stop by will power and asking friends and hubby to help, so when they saw me reach for my wrist they stopped me and distracted me. Its hard, but once you manage to stop looking for lumps, the anxiety about them will get less.
Take Care
Love Helen

Katy

Have you asked GP for a CBT referral yet atall? That will really help you to come to terms with this all.
