First of all i just want to say how relieved i am to find a website like this because i have been having some really hard times recently..

Iv'e had anxiety for a very long time but the panic attacks started a few months ago..I was told by my therapist that it's all about breathing but i don't think she understood me and my worst one was when i collapsed and had to go to hospital so i am glad that there are others out there who deal with the same thing it makes me feel alot better.

I'm Pixie and i'm 16 years old from the uk..

I have had mental problems from the age of 11.

I hope i can make friends and find support here.

*hugs*

Hang in there hun, I have had them going on five years now and have had to go to hospital a number of time. When I first got them I was in there everyother night for 3 month. I did eventually get someone that helped me, but he wanted me to take all the pretty pills. I have avoided that by using the breathing and getting myself occupied with something else. It does not always work, but I find it helps to reduce the overall affect. Also get checked out was a good thing cuz then I could tell myself that I was just in hospital and I was fine so I will be fine now. Drugs only if you have to, but I had one so bad that I went to hospital and let them give me something, not for all the time, but only when it get really bad. So hang in and be strong.
