Hi Chris

I'm sorry I don't know of any products that can help, but I do suffer from this occasionally. Do you have it all the time? Have you spoken to your Dr about it? They might be able to recommend something. Or a Pharmacist?

hi i have this all the time saw ent specialist and they can refer you to a hearing clinic where they offer things on the nhs to help tinitus but none where for me. they offered an ear piece thst made a whoosjing noise to mask the ringing but i didnt know which was worse! i have had tinitus for a year now and ear dr said due to anxiety and should go one day by itself, i think there are natural remedies but nothing scientifically proved to help as yet, sorry hope this helps x

As the others have said unfortunately there is not a lot can be done for tinnitus. I suffer with it on and off – at the moment it’s there all the time – at other times its just background and hardly noticeable. It’s actually more common than you think; a lot of people suffer intermittently from the ringing especially in the winter and something like one in a hundred people have some sort of ringing permanently. It’s common amongst musicians who have played for years in noisy concert halls. You can get CBT for it – basically they train your mind to accept it, or as mentioned above white noise generators that mask it. I did read somewhere that people take Ginkgo Biloba for it but there is no clinical proof it works. Again as said above best to check with your doc because if its caused by an ear infection or similar then clearing that up may stop the tinnitus. There are lots of things that can and might help but no cure as yet.

Ive had this on and off for years .Being in a quiete room or place is worse as it seems to get louder .So I try to always have somebackround noise .The less notice you take of it the quicker it goes .Being anxious about it just makes it worse .Acceptance , Ive found works better then anything ..Sue x
