Hi there! My name is sharon and I am 16 and a half years old and a currently a student/weekend sales assistant. I was told by my doctor a few days ago that I suffer from panic attacks but now I know that it is anxiety as I am a WORRIER. I am very stressed at the moment as well due to upcoming exams for school and other problems. I also seem to get worried when I get pains in my body and this has sometimes led to me thinking that they are "life threatening" even if I have been reassured by my doctor. Thanx to this website I now know that I am not the only one out there that has these problems. If you would like to post a comment on previous experiences then feel free. Imp_89 xx

Hi Sharon, a big WELCOME to the forum, you have definately come to the right place and you will finds lots of help and support here from people who understand how you feel. I too suffer with panic attacks and anxiety although I haven't had a full blown attack for quite a while. I also used to worry about the symptoms and think they were life threatening but since finding this website I know I am not alone with this fear and that it is very common with anxiety and now I have learned to live with them. Things do get easier in time you just have to hang on in there.
Take care
